Aguinit (Liberated Territories), December 10, 2014 (SPS) – The Polisario Front forces conducted a military manoeuvres last Monday in the southern regions of Western Sahara, within the framework of the national alert plan launched by the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front.
The manoeuvres were directed by the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the forces of Sahrawi People’s liberation Army (SPLA), H.E. Mohamed Abdelaziz, accompanied by the Minister of Defence, H.E. Mohamed Lamine Bouhali, and the Saharawi highest officers and members of the military Staff.
During this military manoeuvres executed at the 7th Military Zone, the Minister of Defence, Mohamed Lamine Ould El-Bouhali, affirmed that “the Saharawi national army is ready to return to armed struggle against the Moroccan regime”, renewing, on this occasion,” the Saharawi faith in the UN to resolve the conflict over Western Sahara.”
The Minister of Defence called on the UN “to assume its historical responsibility for the organization of a free democratic and fair referendum, to enable the self-determination of the Saharawi people.”
