The Saharawi community of France participated in the celebrations of the L’humanité festival, which is the largest annual political and cultural event organized by the French Communist Party, on September 13, 14 and 15 in Paris.

At this event, organizations, unions and activists organize workshops that clarify the responsibility of the French government on various national and international social, economic and political issues.

Saharawi participation was through the community associations of Mantes la Jolie and Les Mureaux, with two stands with books and brochures on the history of the Saharawi resistance, to inform readers and visitors about the stages of the Saharawi liberation struggle led by its legitimate representative the Polisario Front.

Photos and reports from international human rights organizations on human rights violations and war crimes systematically perpetrated by the Moroccan occupation regime against unarmed Saharawi civilians and political prisoners, as well as some documents on the sheer amount of natural resources they plundered and provided. The crime of the wall of shame that divides the Saharawi people and limits their freedom is flanked by millions of mines surrounding this 2,720-kilometer wall.

Saharawi associations have been welcomed by visitors and attendees to this annual event, including representatives of French and foreign civil society associations to learn about Saharawi culture through a variety of traditional Saharawi exhibitions, as well as information-rich documents, books and leaflets. The Saharawi historical issue and current developments, as well as the negative role of the Paris government in this conflict, which has prolonged the suffering of thousands of Saharawi refugees in southwest Algeria and civilians subject to the worst forms of violations and crimes against humanity in the cities under Moroccan military occupation was also presented.
