Without a doubt, Mr. Borell, Responsible for the Foreign Policy of the European Union, and as a Spanish citizen, cannot ignore that the international community does not recognize any sovereignty over Western Sahara by Morocco, as he must also know that the two sides In conflict, Morocco and the Polisario Front signed the peace agreement in 1991 under the auspices of the United Nations and the Organization for African Unity. This agreement put an end to the atrocious war that lasted sixteen years, and thanks to which the Saharawi people would pronounce themselves in a referendum of free and regular self-determination on their future. This is the only way and the most appropriate, according to the nature of a decolonization conflict.

Franco-Spanish attempts to hide the nature of the conflict between Morocco and the Saharawi people, both at the Security Council level and in other areas, and their continued attempts to confiscate the inalienable right of the Saharawi people by introducing expressions and other linguistic juggling such as “realism” ,“Compromise solution”, “credibility”, “seriousness”, will only provide additional confrontations, and greater tension in the region. In addition, it will never get the Saharawi people to renounce to continue their legitimate fight for their liberation, and the consequent consecration of their rights and sovereignty over the lands of their ancestors.

The European Union is called to contribute, seriously and effectively, to end the sufferings of the Saharawi people, and to refrain from encouraging Morocco to continue to rebel against international legality.

Colonialism and the appropriation by force of foreign lands, the massacres of innocents should not be tolerated. As is also reportable the theft and rampant looting of the natural resources of a territory occupied by the force of arms.

The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and the Polisario Front believe that stability in North Africa will remain mortgaged as long as the Moroccan occupation of parts of the Saharawi territory is not terminated, and respect uphold for the borders inherited from the colonial period and recognized by the international community. As it is also necessary that Morocco refrain from flooding the region with drugs and cease to use clandestine emigration as an instrument of blackmail against neighboring countries.
