Bachir Mustafá Sayed expressing that
"your visit is the clearest example to show that terrorism will not succeed"

The POLISARIO Secretariat of Political Branches has valued the visit of Spanish aid workers to the Saharawi refugee camps, considering that it translated “a deep solidarity”, in a statement concluding a meeting today chaired by the President of the Republic and POLISARIO Secretary General, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz.

The meeting conjured up the prominent role played by the Saharawi masses in the occupied territories, south Morocco and universities, expressing solidarity and sympathy with their struggle.

The statement strongly condemned different forms of arbitrary and inhuman practices committed by the Moroccan state apparatus against Saharawis, renewing solidarity with all the Saharawi political prisoners in the prisons of Morocco, including Mohamed Hafed Aiza as well as detainees of Gdeim Izik and Dakhla, calling for their immediate and unconditional release.

It hailed the steadfastness of the Saharawi people in the Camps of Pride and Dignity, pointing to the importance of alerting towards the risks and challenges facing the national cause under present circumstances due to the intransigence of Morocco, and as a result of the developments taking place in the region and the world.

The meeting called for the recruitment, comprehensive alert and taking caution and providing vigilance in order to meet and thwart all bets and plans of the Moroccan enemy.

It also focused on the prospects of work in the coming period of the current year which will witness a number of activities, programmes and national events such as: the commemoration of the thirty-seventh anniversary of national unity on October 12, the second anniversary of Gdeim Izik epic on October 10, the preparation for the 40th Anniversary of the establishment of the Polisario Front and outbreak of the armed struggle, in May next year, the 7th Congress of the Saharawi Workers Union (UGRSARIO), and the cultural week of folk arts next October.

The meeting discussed the importance of the good preparation for the success of the process of renewing basic structures, because it is time to advance in management and democratic practices, according to the decisions taken on the 13th Congress of the Polisario Front.

The meeting also examined and assessed the overall political programmes during the last period on the horizon of the next session of the National Secretariat, according to the same source.
