Morocco continues to violate International Law and opens yet another illegal consulate in Western Sahara | Porunsaharalibre | @x1saharalibre

PUSL.- On Friday 28th of February Djibouti has opened its general consulate in Dakhla, Western Sahara another illegal act sponsored by the Moroccan Kingdom who occupies the territory illegally and invites desperate African countries to break the law.

Morocco’s minister of foreign affairs Nasser Bourita himself attended the opening ceremony with Djibouti’s ambassador to Morocco, Ibrahim Bileh Doualeh.

Djibouti’s consulate is the third illegal consulate in Dakhla after Guinea Conakry and Gambia.

In El Aaiun, capital of occupied Western Sahara, illegal consulates were opened by Burundi, the Central African Republic, São Tome and Principe, Gabon, Comoros, and Cote d’Ivoire.

Morocco targets countries in extreme poverty, on verge of civil war or with other internal problems and offers “economic cooperation” in return of the support to Western Sahara’s illegal occupation.

Djibouti is another case of an extremely weak economy, without natural resources and depending mostly on its geographical situation with a Port that has strategic location. The percentage of the population livin below the poverty line is staggering.

Unfortunately, the leaders of these countries are willing to break the law and go against the humanitarian law, the UN resolutions as well as the African Unions constitutive act and resolutions.

None of these countries has any number of population on the ground that would justify the opening of consulates. This is yet another Moroccan maneuver to “mark the territory” like a dog, but is far from having any legal validity and only reveals its desperation in front of the Saharawi population who does not break its will for independence and freedom.
